Idea: Lost

So Jeremy. We talked about making the gallery into a maze the other day. Here is a quick sketch of an idea of what I think would be a good maze to make. In the "t", I dropped one of the sides and figured we could put some sort of person in there. Then we could play clips from "lost" of people looking "lost". ;)

  1. This is an interesting concept. For some like myself being lost somewhere where one may or may not be able to get help is terrifying. looking at the maze I see it says lost but because of the size of the gallery and the size of those pieces I feel as though that idea would be lost. no pun intended. My last question is where does your maze lead? a maze to no where is also a different idea because then you also create the confusion of bumping into each other to move around. I really like changing the gallery into no longer a gallery. each of your ideas involves making it a movie theater, or a production viewing studio, or a maze. The audience participation is crucial, but can you make them feel lost/overpowered or whatever idea you have in mind. I think this is the strongest idea of the three. but maybe one of the least plausible due to time.
(just something to think about. What if the maze goers had earmuffs on so they couldn't communicate by speaking...? maybe a little more lost?

  2. I like your concerns. I will make a revised version of this as a more traditional maze. This would allow confusion to happen. Still I would like to introducean element of pop culture. Video clips of peoplefrom the popular series Lost, looking lost. Maybe to add to this concept the gallery would have no light, other than the the videos being played on he walls.
