Artist Statement

Through this work I have paid attention to the role of gender in my home. I am exploring both earlier influences as well as current influences. This exploration focuses on the shift of gender roles in my life. I am not feeling like "a man" in my relationships, but at times I am wondering when did I become "the man."

I liked most all of the example websites/blogs that were given. I took a little bit from each one. Most of all I enjoyed "How to Write An Artist's Statement That Doesn't Suck," because it was short and to the point. I will also reference the last link in the future for the practical applications section.
